3 Keys to Effective Self-Defense
Posted by yourfitness on Wednesday, September 2, 2009
If you think would be a self-defense situation, what are the three most important considerations for effective? Is it with strength, endurance, strength, or a set of techniques?
While all these things contribute to this in more or less complete, none of them really touches on the priorities that will help you prevail in a fight to the death. Do not get me wrong. It certainly helps the bigger, faster, stronger or more are skilled fighters. But these things are only useful if you are in a situation where they have before you.
Let me explain another way.
Strength only matters if you are able, or your attacker in a way that allows you access the power of your usage. And as for power ...
... Power is derived from the size and movement. If an attacker jumps up and pins you against a wall or the floor, you will find it difficult to create any type of energy, as we usually think of it.
Stamina questions only if you are in a struggle that's going to last minutes rather than seconds. In general, karate and boxing tournaments have two minutes rounds or seizures. That is an eternity in the life and death, self-defense situation, where the objective of the things about himself and finished in less than 10 seconds!
What do they know a lot of techniques, what can I say? Information is power, right?
But what if you're new to this whole idea of self-defense? What if you just taking classes, or learn how dangerous away from an attacker? Or what if, no matter how many techniques you know is the attacker a better, more qualified, experienced fighters?
And then what?
A simple formula
I have extensively about what I wrote: "The 6 stages of effective self-defense strategy." This is to my students through that only the phases that a self-defense may lead to go through and how you make sure that we have to be able to be properly trained to effectively operate in each phase or stage an attack.
Admittedly, however, the 6 phases of the ideal. They all work as they should as a warning from your attacker and you will see what happens.
Often, however, attacks happen with little or no warning at all. So how do we get even more from the top and trim with a minimum elements necessary to be able to get out of a situation with as little wear and possible?
The key here is to focus on the situation that we are talking about. In the "6 Phases" formula we are able to attack, or potential harm to come to see. So we try, things like ...
* Flight to safety,
* Confusing the attacker, and ...
* Hold him like this
If the attack comes with little or no warning. If it on us fast and furious, and we do not have time to divert the flight, let alone tried or belittle our attackers, we need only the basic fundamentals.
So, the 3 Keys - The Unbreakable are elements of an effective self-defense strategy...
* 1) Situational Awareness - Make sure what is going on around you. Active seen in humans, rather than avoid contact than in most social situations.
* 2) Stay On Guard - You could also use this step, "fearing taxes." If you notice someone or something that hold a threat - perhaps someone who looks angry or suspicious, the eyes as she could. You do not have to stare and shine, but you should know them and what they do. I'm talking about this concept quite a lot in the video "Danger Prevention Tactics: Protecting Yourself Like a Pro." And finally ...
* 3) to respond immediately and decisively - as soon as the attack happens, you start your defense. Do not try to find out to who is this person or why they attacked you. You must do three things immediately if you have a chance to win. You need...
o A) to neutralize the impact of what they do. Cover your goals or drive off the blows are landing.
o B) Keep your head. Concentrate on what you can do, and once you have a chance ...
o C) Take to open what objectives. If he leaves open the throat and you can hit it - hit it! If you can kick the groin, kick his groin. As it turns out, Take That thing! And to think, with goals, until he down and out, or help arrives.
Sounds easy, I know. But that's what training and a good teacher is for - helping you to do the hard things like controlling your fear, which is under pressure, and we give you the most effective ways to meet certain goals.
Remember, you can have what you want in life theories. You can use your preferred style, teachers, techniques, or whatever.
But when speaking of the rubber-meets-the-road, so to speak, and you are face-to-face with the worst nightmare, you must:
* Make sure that
* Concentrated stay, and ...
* Do what works!
Editor Tips
Try to be as stress-free as you can so the tension that is associated with certain types of memory lapses, in so remain. Repetition of the practice - which is an all time favorite. You will notice that the higher moments you have from time to time can be turned into senior memories to be remembered; if you carry on the exercise of your brain on a regular basis.
Of course, the answer to your question is simple and (unbeknownst to them) they never write it necessary to create such a list. If you just wait long before moving over to us the same stress on the muscles, they will not change. You need to continually and systematically challenge your muscles move to give greater weight capacity than it previously.
How old you should before you start, Age of decency? How do you want to search when you 40, you do when you 50, 60, 70, such as 80 or 90? With very few exceptions, we slow down and become weaker as we grow old, and maybe, just maybe, there is something we can do about it.
